My interest in using food as medicine and natural therapies primarily began after suffering from anxiety and depression after becoming a mum.
Originally, my Facebook page came about as a way to share some of the treasures I found along the way to becoming healthier. Tips on self care, living a low toxin life, refined sugar free real food recipes and more.
During this time I decided to turn my passion of healthy eating and using food as medicine into my career so that I could share this with many more people.
After learning that my digestion issues were due to leaky gut syndrome, I removed gluten from my diet, and within a week the bloating had ceased and my nose was no longer blocked every morning. Since that time, I have learnt to cook without gluten. At first it was difficult, once I began experimenting with different types of flour, nuts and seeds, I discovered the delicious flavours that chickpea flour, almond meal, coconut flour give to baked goods.
I received my training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
