So you’ve seen and heard people calling themselves health coaches recently… some questions you may be thinking… what is a health coach, what do they do, and why would I want one?
A health coach is your biggest supporter, in the same way a personal trainer helps you work hard and achieve your fitness goals, health coaches help you achieve your wellness goals. If you don’t know what your goals are, but know you want to be healthier, then we discover your goals together and work towards them.
Perhaps you’ve struggled to keep weight off, maybe you’re tired all the time, maybe you are bored, stuck in a rut and don’t know what your passion is, don’t know what to cook for your family, how to have some balance in your life. These are the key areas that I work with my clients on. There is no set formula or content for working with a health coach, it is led by you, your needs and desires. I am there to coach you and guide you with making the changes to your lifestyle, eating habits, so that these changes stick this time! We take baby steps, adding in the good stuff, the new things you want to do, and gradually your old habits fade away.
Health coaches are not nutritionists, naturopaths or here to give medical advice. We work alongside your health practitioners, helping you to implement the changes that for example your GP, naturopath or chiropractor have given you.
As a single mum of 3 children, learning to manage my own digestive problems, leaky gut, anxiety most of my life, post natal depression, not knowing how to have any balance or fun in my life, I do understand exactly how difficult it is to change… you can do it with support though! Through my studies and having my own coaches, I discovered my passion and started a whole new career at 40!!!
